Self-Portrait
My passion for computers started at an early age. In my earliest memory, I was setting up my grandma's TV while my family helped her move in - I believe I was 4. Normally, entertaining a kid while moving in isn't something people focus on, so I took matters into my own hands and found a way to make it work. Since then, I have committed myself to software.

Before arriving at Rose, I had not taken a computer science course. I found ways to learn about the interworkings of computers and then learned how to solve problems with code. I have been able to build upon the early understanding of computers I gained in my youth and used that to influence how I solve problems. So far this has proved to be successful in my education, and it has helped prepare me for life outside of Rose.

After graduation, I am committed to making a substantial impact on countless lives. I have committed to serving people throughout my life thus far, and I want to continue that through code. My Engineering Management degree will help me lead the way with the knowledge I gain from my Artificial Intelligence minor - allowing me to be on the front lines of the developing technology. I've found my way to make an impact on the world.

Outside the classroom, I've been passionate about many different things. Firstly, the connections I make with friends drive me day after day. I love to watch them succeed, and I will always volunteer to plan an event surrounding something we discuss. Throughout my day, I often have music on. I listen to a vast array of genres, often with the lens of a drummer. I played in a rock cover band throughout high school, getting recognition throughout my county. Finally, I'm also a huge sports fan. All summer I try to find ways to make it out to St. Louis for a Cardinals baseball game and then move into watching the Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Blues in the winter. Nothing beats a match-up with a rival with a ton strategy!
